Four students pursuing biotechnology and related courses at two public universities have been feted by the Kenya University Biotechnology Consortium (KUBICO) for their excellent academic performance.

The awardees — Amos Phares and Sarah Rombo of Kenyatta University, and Lucy Mwihaki and Precious Kerubo of the University of Nairobi — each received a certificate, trophy and a cash reward. They are pioneers of the inaugural awards, which will be extended to other universities in future editions.
